Terms of use

The purpose of the Tallinn image bank is to create easy access to photos of Tallinn and through that to present Tallinn as a destination both for leisure and business travel.

The image bank is for professional users (travel agents and journalists), with the purpose of promoting Tallinn as a tourism destination; including congresses, meetings and incentives. Image bank is administered by Tallinn City Tourist Office & Convention Bureau. Please note that the photographer's name must always be mentioned by the photo or elsewhere on the website. Kindly also refer to Tallinn City Tourist Office & Convention Bureau as a source of the photos.

The image bank contains photos, which are ready to download in high resolution (300 dpi) and in low resolution (72 dpi). Photos are divided into four categories: location, time, theme and object.

Tallinn City Enterprise Board image bank users are following:

Unregistered users – they have an opportunity to look and to download following photos: “Official tourism marketing images for free use“ and „For use“, with the purpose promote Tallinn as a tourism destination.

Registered user – travel agents, journalists, students - they can look at the photos with and without watermarks, to add these to their photo album, to download “For use” and “Official tourism marketing images for free use“ photos for free. In case of using “Restricted use” photos, you always have to contact to the photo author or image bank administrator, asking a permission to use the photo, to download it. The purpose is to promote Tallinn as a tourism destination.

Registered photographer – can add the best photos of Tallinn and its surroundings to Tallinn image bank. For more details please contact to administrator photos@tallinnlv.ee.

Tallinn City Enterprise Board - Tallinn City Tourist Office & Convention Bureau – the owner of the Tallinn image bank. Can use all these photos with the purpose of promoting Tallinn as a tourism destination.

Rights of the photos are following:
 
“For use” - photos can be used by unregistered users, registered users (travel agents, journalists, students) and Tallinn City Tourist Office & Convention Bureau only with the purpose of promoting Tallinn as a tourism destination.

“Official tourism marketing images for free use“ –  photos can be used by registered users (travel agents, journalists, students) and Tallinn City Tourist Office & Convention Bureau only with the purpose of promoting Tallinn as a tourism destination.

„For press“ - photos, which are allowed to use only when you have asked permission from photographer. In case you need his/her contacts, please e-mail to image bank administrator. With these photos you might have to pay also extra money to get the permission from the author to download and use the photo.

By using Tallinn image bank you agree to be bound by the Terms of this Agreement. If You do not agree with the Terms of use, please do not use the website.

“Restricted use” – photos can be used only by travel agents, journalists and Tallinn City Enterprise Board. In case of using “Restricted use” photos, you always have to contact to the photo author or image bank administrator, asking a permission to use the photo, to download it. The purpose is to promote Tallinn as a tourism destination.

The use of this website

You acknowledge that there are photos which are “For use”,  “Official tourism marketing images for free use“, “For press” and “Restricted use”. “Restricted use” photos are allowed to use only when you ask permission from a photographer. The photographer's name must always be mentioned by the photo. Besides, please refer to Tallinn City Tourist Office & Convention Bureau.

In cases where the rules are not followed the user of the photos could be charged by the photographer. The website contains photos uploaded by its owners/photographers. All photos and their descriptions and presentation in general ("photos") on the website are the property of either Tallinn image bank and/or its members and are protected by international copyright laws. Use of these photos without license is prohibited.

Tallinn image bank is for professional users (journalists and travel agents). You agree that you are responsible for all of your use of these photos which are in this Tallinn image bank. You agree that the photos can be used for free only when promoting Tallinn and its surroundings as tourism destination.

Ordering photos:

Unregistered users – can download the photos, with adding purpose of the use. The photographer's name must always be mentioned by the photo. If possible, please refer to the Tallinn image bank Tallinn City Tourist Office & Convention Bureau as a source of the photos.

Registered users - when registered, please choose the photos that you like. You can pre-select and add photos you would like to use into “My Album”, which is on the left side. Your pre-selection will be saved in “My Album” until you have downloaded the selected photos or deleted them. To order photos, choose the photos in your album, click "order selected images" and write the reason for ordering, where do you plan to use the photos? (publication, internet)

If you have a special request, please contact to image bank administrator Kirsti Eerik. Photo related questions that can't be handled by TCTO&CB will be forwarded to photo agencies or to photographers.
